Why did the Spring and Fall Live Performance ticket prices increase to $15/seat?
This was a hard decision for GTL to make as we strive to make live performing arts affordable to as many people as possible.
The goal for the new ticket prices was to get us as close to breaking even annually as possible. (See a summary of our projected expenses and income figures below).
The increase from $10/seat to $15/seat gets us close to that break even point. This means all other projects for building improvement are based solely on kind donations and grants.
Annual Expense (Avg) | Projected Gross Income | |
Utilities | $5,500 | |
Insurance | $5,600 | |
Spring Musical | $3,500 | $7,900 |
Fall Play | $2,000 | $6,500 |
Missoula Children’s Play | $4,200 | $4,200 (due to memorial fund) |
Chatauqua Performance | $400 | $1,500 |
Totals | $21,220 | $20,100 |
How do I join the Gallatin Theater League?
Joining GTL is simple. Membership dues are $10/year. Come to one of our Membership Meetings held in January and July, contact us at gallatintheaterleague@gmail.com or simply show up to an audition.
What are rights and royalties?
All theater groups, such as GTL, need to pay for permission to put on shows from play publishers. If GTL does not have permission to do a show from the publishers we cannot put on a show. To do so could put GTL at risk of copyright infringement, penalties and fines.
What do donations help with?
GTL does its best to use donations wisely. Kind donations can go towards specific projects/revitalizations, maintenance of technology and general expense. If there is a specific item/task you would be interesting in making donations for please let us know and we are glad to do so. Thank you in advance for your support.
