SUMMARY:GHS Drama Club - A Trip to the Moon
DESCRIPTION:Gallatin Theater League is happy to once again be able to host the Gallatin High School Drama Club this year for their performance: A Trip to the Moon. \nSet in the transformative summer of 1969\, A Trip to the Moon is a vibrant\, vignette-style play that captures a nation reaching for dreams of love\, equality\, and the stars themselves. Told through 16 short slices of life\, each inspired by an iconic song from the era\, the play weaves together personal stories against the backdrop of historic moments that defined a generation. \nFrom sneaking off to Woodstock and dancing to the sounds of American Bandstand\, to watching the moon landing with your crush\, the characters grapple with the world shifting around them. They face the realities of the Vietnam War draft\, stand up through civil rights and women’s rights movements\, and discover the power of a protest. Along the way\, there’s laughter\, heartache\, hope—and even a proposal and a wedding.

DESCRIPTION:Join Gallatin Theatre League September 19th at 10:30 AM\, NOON and 1:30 PM as we take a look back and celebrate our history with a melodrama written by Barbara Wilson and Sandy Evans that was last performed in 1991. \nCome help our heroine\, Rosy Cheeks\, and her father Rusty as they try and save their beloved Arbella Opera House from the evil villains Red and Scarlett Deville. \nThe villains will do whatever it takes to snatch the Opera House from our heroine. Will anyone step up and save the day? Or will the villains be victorious and leave poor Rosy and Rusty penniless with no where to go? Our audience will indeed have a say in how the story unfolds. \nCome see us as we revisit recurring characters from the early days of the Gallatin Theatre League and celebrate what it takes to be a part of live theater. There will be fun and laughs a plenty for everyone of all ages.

Go. \nIn a cheap motel room\, an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his female accountant\, while in the room next door\, two undercover cops wait to catch the meeting on videotape. \nIn this riotous farce\, there’s some confusion as to who’s in which room\, who’s being videotaped\, who has the money\, who hired a hit man or why the accountant keeps taking off her clothes. \nA laugh-out-loud cocktail of misunderstandings\, revelations and unexpected arrivals. \nUnnecessary Farce creates a crime caper where the long arm of the law leads to rolling in the aisles.
