DESCRIPTION:Gallatin Theater League is excited for our upcoming Spring Musical Production. \nIt’s 1979\, and New York’s hottest A-listers are lining up for the opening of a floating casino and discotheque. \nAlso attending is a faded disco star\, a sexy nightclub singer with her eleven-year-old twins\, a disaster expert\, a feminist reporter\, an older couple with a secret\, a pair of young guys who are looking for ladies\, an untrustworthy businessman and a nun with a gambling addiction. \nWhat begins as a night of boogie fever quickly changes to panic as the ship succumbs to multiple disasters\, such as earthquakes\, tidal waves and infernos. As the night turns into day\, everyone struggles to survive and\, quite possibly\, repair the love that they’ve lost… or at least escape the killer rats.

DESCRIPTION:AUDITION DATE: Tentative \nGallatin Theater League is excited to try something new. We will be adding a Summer performance to our 2026 calendar. \nMisery follows successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon\, who is rescued from a car crash by his “number one fan\,” Annie Wilkes\, and wakes up captive in her secluded home. \nWhile Paul is convalescing\, Annie reads his latest book and becomes enraged when she discovers the author has killed off her favorite character\, Misery Chastain. \nAnnie forces Paul to write a new Misery novel\, and he quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go anywhere. The irate Annie has Paul writing as if his life depends on it\, and it does.

Told through 16 short slices of life\, each inspired by an iconic song from the era\, the play weaves together personal stories against the backdrop of historic moments that defined a generation. \nFrom sneaking off to Woodstock and dancing to the sounds of American Bandstand\, to watching the moon landing with your crush\, the characters grapple with the world shifting around them. They face the realities of the Vietnam War draft\, stand up through civil rights and women’s rights movements\, and discover the power of a protest. Along the way\, there’s laughter\, heartache\, hope—and even a proposal and a wedding.
